中國托派統一時致托洛茨基的兩封信

　　（編者按）1993年9月14日上海的鄭超麟老先生又把重要文件——1931年5月1日中國托派統一大會時致托洛茨基的兩封信轉給我。這是研究陳獨秀與中國托派的兩份珍貴資料。文件在檔案中還未編號，原件是英文，第二封信又附有打字的俄文翻譯稿，現由王凡西譯成中文。說也真巧，當年執筆寫這兩信並在第二封信中署名「黨報主編」的王文元，就是今日的譯者。

    1931年5月1日，中國托派四個小組織的統一大會是中國托派組織的正式成立大會。由於成立後不到一個月（即5月23日）該組織就被國民黨特務機關破獲，所有文件資料散失，後來史學家在研究這個事件時，主要依據當時人的一些回憶，因此有些史實的敘述不夠正確，並有爭論，如當時托派組織的名稱、人數、中央機構的組成，以及陳獨秀任什麼職務等。看了這兩封信，一切都清楚了：

　　一、中國托派成立時的名稱叫「中國共產黨左派反對派」，而不是「中國共產主義同盟」。後者是1935年1月才開始正式使用，那時他們決心徹底與中國共產黨決裂，準備單獨成立一個政黨，而不再以中共內部的一個派別——「反對派」自居。

　　二、托派成立時，全國人數是四百八十三個，而不是傳說的七百多人。參加統一大會的代表十七名，另有無表決權的列席代表四名。

　　三、托派中央名稱是「中國共產黨左派反對派執行委員會」，由九名委員和四名候補委員組成。其中又選出五人成立「書記處」，類似於中央常委，主持日常工作。陳獨秀是「書記處書記」，而不叫「總書記」。「書記處秘書」是宋逢春，而不是過去說的「秘書長羅漢」。

　　另外，從兩封信中，可以看到陳獨秀他們當時的心情：「我們相信，在國際左派反對派的領導之下，它定能完成它偉大的歷史任務」。

親愛的托洛茨基同志：

　　從資產階級報紙上我們得悉您那個無法估價的珍貴圖書室被焚毀，這消息又讓國際書記處的通告給證實了。對此，我們感到最大的痛惜。為得重建您的圖書室，我們已成立一個特別委員會，進行募捐。

　　四個分別存在的中國反對派現已經統一了。我們希望這個好消息能多少補償您所蒙受的巨大損失。

　　統一大會是在五月一日這個歷史紀念日召開的。從各個反對派團體選出了十七名代表，此外還有四名代表列席。我們預先起草好的共同政綱和其他決議案已由大會通過。這些文件在最近將來會翻譯成外文。從今以後，中國反對派是一個單一組織了，它的口號也將是單一的（按：上面最後這句話原件上無法認清，大意如此——譯者）關於中國的一般情況以及我們這個運動的特殊情況，我們將會給國際書記處和您另寫詳細報告。致

親愛的書記處諸同志：

親愛的托洛茨基同志：

　　中國反對派的統一大會已於五一這個歷史紀念日在上海召開。出席代表共十七個，另有四名列席代表。他們一共代表了原屬四派的四百八十三個成員，大會通過了我們的共同政綱，還通過了別的幾個決議案——這些議案是預先在統一委員會中起草了的。大會選出一個全國執行委員會，又選出其中五人組成書記處。我們的組織已定名為中國共產黨左派反對派。它的機關報定名為《火花》。我們的政綱與各個決議案將於最近將來翻譯成歐洲文字。

　　中國反對派的統一引起了反動派的注意，也引起工人大眾的注意。我們相信，在國際左派反對派的領導之下，它定能完成它偉大的歷史任務。我們希望今後在國際書記處與中國支部之間能建立起經常的與密切的關係。

　　托洛茨基同志的圖書室被焚毀的消息，我們是從資產階級報紙上獲得的，現在又讓你們的通告給證實了。我們已設立一個特別委員會，為重建托洛茨基同志圖書室募捐。

Letter to Trotsky                       Shanghai 5 May, 1931

Dear Comrade Trotsky,

    We learned from the bourgeois press and confirmed by the circular of the International Bureau that your priceless library was burned.  Where upon we express our deepest sorrow and sympathy.  A special committee for contribution to rebuild your library has been formed.

     The good news that four groups of Chinese Opposition had been united perhaps may console you and somehow repair your greatest loss.

    The unification conference was taken place on the historical day – 1st of May, 17 representatives (from all organizations of the Opposition) with four advisory deputies.

     Our common platform and other resolutions were passed, which will be translated into foreign language at the nearest future.  From now on the organization of Chinese Opposition is the one and whole , her slogan single ! (This sentences in the text is not clear- decipher). We shall write to the Bureau and you about the situation of China in general and our movement in particular.

Report No. 1                           Shanghai  9 May 1931

Dear Comrades of the Secretariat and Trotsky,

    Unification Conference of Chinese Oppositions was taken place on the historical day May the first in Shanghai. 17 representatives presented and besides four with advisory rights. They totally represented 483 (of 4 groups). Conference adopted our common platform and other resolutions which were worked out by the unification commission. A national executive committee (consisting of 9 members and 4 candidates) was elected from which formed a Secretariat of 5 persons. The name of our organization has been listed as the Left Opposition of Chinese Com-party.  Her organ is called “Sparkle”  . Our Platform and resolutions shall be translated into European language at the nearest future.

    Chinese Opposition was united that provoked great attention both from the reaction and working masses. We belive that under the leadership of international left opposition, she can and will carry on the great historical task. We hope that between the secretariat and Chinese Section will have a constant and close relation.

    The news about conflagration of comrade Trotsky’s library was learned from the bourgeois press and confirmed by your circular.  We have appointed a special committee for contribution.
